GAME FISHING COMBOS

In assembling our three game fishing combos we had four primary objectives. Firstly, the reel in particular had to be top quality. To achieve that we went for one originally made for the giant international tackle company, Quantum.

The reel had to be a lever drag so drag tension could be preset with a spring balance – which we do for each reel, before delivery. And fitted with carbon fibre drag washers, ensuring top performance under heavy drag loads.  It would need large line capacity, to ensure a big barrel bluefin couldn’t spool the reel on a hot first run.

 

The third requirement was price. Just like with our jigs, braid, mono and other tackle, we buy directly from the factory and sell directly to you.

Only one margin, which we keep low, and the savings are passed on to you.

 

Most importantly, we wanted something compact and manageable. With so many of our clients fishing from trailer boats we wanted a rod and reel combo that wasn’t too bulky or heavy, making it easier to move around the boat when a fish changes direction.

Those four goals have been achieved.

30-pound combo, rod reel and line
